Borden Flats is a 50 foot-high cast iron and brick Sparkplug light tower, constructed in 1881, built atop a concrete caisson. It consists of three floors with a total area of approximately 1000 square feet.
The Light is situated at the mouth of the Taunton River where it meets Mount Hope Bay in Fall River, MA. Borden Flats Light is located approximately 0.5 miles South of the Braga Bridge and Battleship Cove Naval Museum.
